Scott County Transit System, Inc. provides safe, efficient transportation service for all Scott County residents.
SCTS provides both fixed route and pre-scheduled appointments for clients. Clients are asked to schedule their trips 24 hours in advance.
Service to North Scott County area
Service to North Scott County area is provided Monday through Friday.
Service to Cape Girardeau
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we transport individuals to Cape Girardeau to doctor’s appointments, shopping, etc., arriving at approximately 10:00 a.m. and returning at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Dial-a-Ride Service throughout Sikeston
Same day service available Monday through Friday.
Sikeston Wal-Mart Runs
Service is provided to Sikeston Wal-Mart and the surrounding businesses every hour until 4:00 p.m.
HOW TO RIDE
Scott County Transit System provides curb-to-curb transportation by advance reservation. Please call us at least 24 hours in advance to schedule your trip. You can call up to a week in advance to lock in your reservation.
Service animals are permitted on all vehicles. Service animals presenting a danger to the driver or passengers must be confined or constrained.
Oxygen tanks and other necessary medical equipment are allowed on all vehicles. The equipment must be secured to prevent injury in case of an accident or sudden stop.
WHEN WE RUN
Scott County Transit System, Inc. operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
GREAT VEHICLES AND DRIVERS
Our vehicles are clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. They are accessible to persons in wheelchairs and with walkers. Our drivers are friendly and helpful.
Drivers will provide assistance in carrying purchases from the van to client’s doorstep (client’s are asked to carry their own if able). Scott County Transit System, Inc. reserves the right to limit the number and size of packages allowed on the vehicle.
All passengers must wear a seat belt. The driver will assist clients in fastening seat belts when needed. Scott County Transit System, Inc., has the right to refuse service to anyone who will not wear a seat belt.
